I've been doing a little bit of Spring cleaning here on the malojos.com store. Sometimes Shopify rolls out some new updates, and they aren't always what I would like.
For example, the "Shop" app. Personally, I don't think you should have to download an app just to see your tracking information, etc. I have turned off the Shop app option for check-out and customer accounts. You can make an account here if you like, which will make it easy for you to see your order information, but that is up to you.
If you have signed up for my mailing list, you know that it is crickets. Once in a blue moon will I send something out. I rarely even update this blog, but I do when there is information you should be able to find here.
I will also, as I have said previously, not be using the Agentic AI sales channels. I am not okay with an AI bot possibly talking someone into a purchase they might not have been ready to make. Yes, it is an extra step to follow the link to this webpage instead of making a purchase in the AI "conversation," but I think if you are going to spend money on jewelry, taking a moment to get all of the information you need is a good idea. And if you have questions, please ask me! I am more than happy to help.
Besides, the current use of AI is unsustainable, and will not encourage its use in the hopes of making a few extra sales.
