Easing my way back in.

            Easing my way back in.

Hello! I am one day away from finding out if I am cleared to lift anything over 10 lbs, and get fully back to work! I am feeling very good post-hysterectomy, so fingers crossed I get the ok.

It will be a relief to get back to a routine again after a couple of months of healing (more than once, even! Since the surgery I also injured a toe, and a couple of weeks ago I was bitten on my hand by a stray cat and had to go to the ER!*)

Although I have been away from my work bench, I have been working on a couple of new pieces I hope to have ready to debut at Wool & Folk on October 14, 2022. I should have a sneak peak for you soon, so stay tuned!

I am also preparing to join Cooperative Press in their booth at the NY State Sheep and Wool Festival, better known as Rhinebeck, and I plan to save some of the new pieces for this show, so you will have a couple of chances to buy them in person before they are offered online.

I will be posting more soon as the month goes on and I really get working, and I especially plan to get back to posting pictures from the work bench on my Instagram page (instagram.com/malojosjewelry/), so please be sure to follow me there for timely updates!

*A huge thanks to friends who insisted I go to the ER after the cat bite. I had no idea how prone to infection a cat bite is, and sure enough I had to take antibiotics for a week, and my hand was a swollen mess for a few days. If you are bitten by a cat, please seek medical attention even if it doesn't seem like a big deal.
